Hello Girls, how are you doing? And what’s the weather on your side of earth? The heat is growing on this side and quite frankly I do not like it. But who cares, you still have to go to office, work needs to be done, manis have to be finished and posts have to be written. Not complaining at all, just saying. Anyways, in midst of not so friendly weather I tried doing a soothing mani for ClaireStelle Challenge prompt: Pastels.
Who doesn’t love pastels? There is nothing you would do on a pastel base and it won’t look pretty. Although my mind was pushing for a floral pastel mani with all its might, I somehow managed to steer the other way.
I thought of doing the pastel gradient first of all as a base, showing soft blending of pastels into one and another. But I decided not to go with regular horizontal gradient so did a vertical one instead.
I wanted some sparkle on the pastel. I don’t know why but some holo sparkle on my pastel gradient seemed mandatory for summers. So I did a soft layer of Fun Lacquer Art of Sparkle (H). I loved the base even more now. Pastel base ensured softness and holo gave a little edge.
I decided to some light stamping on them. A very simple yet edgy design which looks like nail art but doesn’t steal show from the base. I browsed through some plates and zeroed down to BM Festive Collection. It’s my favourite BM collection till date.
I used BM S304 and Konad Special Black for stamping. Aah, it looked good. The base polishes used are Sally Hansen You’re Crabby, Wet Suit and Teeny Bikini from their Limited Edition Sea Bloom Collection, China Glaze Lotus Begin and China Glaze Neon On & On. I don’t think I missed any.
After finishing the nail art, I had plans for my mom’s place. Thankfully, I got beautiful shots in her garden in pretty natural light. Now this mani may not be out of world but lot of effort went into it and it turned decent and different. What say? I love it.
