Hi Girls, I am very thrilled presenting Zoya Whisper 2016 swatches for you today. Since almost all polishes are based out of US and due difficulty in transportation to India or long shipping time; we end up getting newly launched shade only when they have turned old! It is such a pity . By the time you find out a way to ship your products or mainly find a polish mule to carry me; the collection is old. But when I saw the teaser picture of Zoya Whisper 2016, I not only knew I had to order this but Pre-order this. So this is my first pre-order purchase and I am really proud of it.
This set consists of 6 soft neutrals which are of real class and modern taste handpicked by Zoya . Zoya says about the set ‘Experience Serenity with this muted and tranquil palette of transitional neutrals for 2016’. I could not agree more. The entire collection is crème, I would say squishy crèmes to be precise. They are in between jelly and crème but mostly opaque in 2 coats.
Zoya April is described as a light, rosy toned neutral that is a modern take on blush. It is a light Rose toned neutral which leans towards pink. This is one of the most delicate shades and makes your hands look that of doll. The polish dries absolute glossy. I apply 2 coats for swatches as a rule so that there is uniformity in comparison. I think this one may need a third coat for opacity.
Zoya Cala is described a soft nude with a kiss of warmth that will flatter most skin tones. To me it looks like a vanilla nude color. On further thinking, I can also say that it’s a butter color. Like April, a third coat won’t harm here too. It looks a jellier version of OPI My Vampire is my buff. They make your hands look so delicate.
Zoya Eastyn is described as a subtle grayed grape that is more interesting than mauve and gives a modern alternative that is ever so wearable. Now this is my favourite!! It’s quite a unique color. I haven’t seen something near to it. It is a blissful muted mauve which leans slightly towards grey. It is not dull by any measure though. I would love to wear such a happy neutral to work. This color is top of the ‘Class’ in itself. This was quite creamy and 2 coats were just enough.
Zoya Ireland is described as a uniquely wearable green that is muted enough to make it subtle yet still interesting. This is one of the brightest neutrals in the pack. It is muted pea green in colour. It will look flattering on any skin tone. It may look light army green to many. This is my second favourite in the collection. It is creamy like Eastyn and beautifully opaque in 2 coats.
Zoya Lake is described as a softened blue that gives the effect of serene water with just a hint of vibrancy to preserve its luminosity. Oh God! I just announced my first and second favourite; and this is no less than them. So I will place them in between Eastyn and Ireland. It is a pretty sky blue color leaning towards grey. It is such a soft colour, I feel peace every time I look at it. You can easily live with 2 generous coats of this.
Zoya Misty is described as an easy to wear taupe that is an updated version of grey with just a touch of green to make it daring. I would say it is a greyer version of Ireland. It is a green grey. At times, it looked like a neutral brown. This is my least favourite out of the entire collection. It is pretty undoubtedly but not of my taste may be. This is again opaque in 2 coats.
All in all, I am pretty pleased with the collection. Zoya has done such a great job with neutrals. It has treated this collection so well that even though they are neutral they aren’t boring or sad. I would say they are happy modern neutrals My favourite being Eastyn , Lake and Ireland. If you love neutrals, look no further and grab these. They are available at Zoya for $54.
