A Little brief on ‘Fotheringhay Castle’ because we reviewing a polish named after it : Fotheringhay Castle (also Fotheringay Castle) was in the village of Fotheringhay 3 1⁄2 miles (5.6 km) to the north of the market town of Oundle, Northamptonshire . It was probably founded around 1100 by Simon de Senlis, Earl of Northampton. In 1113, possession passed to Prince David of Scotland when he married Simon’s widow. The castle then descended with the Scottish princes until the early 13th century when it was confiscated by King John of England.

Now About the Polish : I found the color of the polish unique and enchanting so I bought it. It is olive green in color and has a scattered holo effect.

I am not a green person, but this is not a regular green to detest me. It is a rich olive green, shimmering all the way to attract you.

Like other A England polishes that I have tried, they lit from within. I mean the polish isn’t single dimensional. When you look at in sun, other layers and dimensions come into picture. For the same reason I always feel A England polishes are mysterious. You don’t know what lies within. In this one I could see silver, gold and red shimmers. It is a very pleasing sight.

Slightly Blurry Pic in Sunlight

The formula like other A England polishes was rich and syrupy. I am not saying syrupy in a bad way because it doesn’t impact application in any way. It is quite color intense and one coat makes it opaque. But did a thin 2 coat and top coat. They are great for stamping too.

One thing I would like to caution about these polishes is that, please do wear a top coat on them to the glaze and bring life to polish. Otherwise, you may not like it as much. I tried to click several pics to justify but Mumbai has a long rainy season. And for some reason there is heavy cloud when I decide to wear a Holo.Buhuu!

Still I have tried my best. Although, you may never understand what I saying about dimensions, layers and lit from within; till you wear one of the magical creations of Adina – A England. You can get these polishes on A England Website and there are stockists too. So girls, see for yourself!
