Hello Sunshines!! Yes literally sunshines….with the kind of shift in weather we are seeing these days in Mumbai. All of a sudden the temperature is rising high and there is lot of sun. Here in Mumbai we are not very used to high or low temperature, it kind of makes us jittery and cranky. We detest hot and cold, we are more used to moderate humid climate. Anyways, with summer approaching I decided to get some neons nails, to get the feel.
The original thought was to do a Lace Nail art, before the neon bug bit me. Initially, all I could think is traditional lace nail art on a delicate background. But after a while I got a thought why not try laces on neon? I mean what stops our imagination? And whenever I think neons, I am pulled towards 2 best neons in my statsh- Models Own Polish for Tans- Sunhat and Flip Flop. They are so happy neons. They make me feel like holiday when they are on my nails.
The stamping turned up pretty decent, it is actually looking like there is a neon pink pattern on my neon green base. I am not saying it is the best lace nail art but it is definitely different and happy. But I really faced challenge clicking them. The neons are without a doubt making my hands look very dark- maybe that is why they are polish for tans.LOL. To counter the darkness when I try clicking pics in brighter light, they make the stamping effect weaker. I am so stuck in achieving balance between the two.
Trust me; in person it looks really cool. The stamping is quite crisp, and it is full on neon. As if the neon was not funky enough, I added some neon studs too to do the magic. I am really in love with this nail art. It is giving me a complete feel of vacation on my nails.
The polishes I have used are Models Own – Polish For Tans ‘Sunhat’ and ‘Flip Flop’. For stamping I used Nail Matinee Stamping Polish, which is started by one of my friends in India. The studs were purchased from Amazon. For stamping I used Born Pretty Store stamping plate which was sent to me for review. This is the first time I am laying my hands on BPS stamping plates and not only is their designs awesome, their etching has also impressed. Some of their designs are really cool and unique. You can buy these plates here for 2.99 USD. You can also get a 10% site wide off if you use my coupon code HQBQ10.
What are your thoughts on my nail art and the BPS stamping plate? What do you do to click neon polishes? I am yet to figure that out, so a little help will be appreciated. Happy summers and welcome spring..till my next nail art!
