Good Morning Lovely Ladies, the nail art I have to share today may be not be exiting but the post in itself is (atleast for me). Remember I said in previous posts, how challenges kill your creativity and no more Challenges for a while. But I also said the right kind of Challenge brings the best in you. It pushes you out of your comfort zone and forces you try something new. One similar Challenge I participated was ‘STN Challenge’ hosted by my dear friend Anita.
With the same intent we (Indian Lacquer Lovers) have put together a Challenge which will put us through a lot of techniques which many of us may have never tried. It’s called the ‘Technique Challenge’. We have jotted down almost all the techniques and keep unfolding them as ‘Weekly Challenge’. Thanks to my friend Dimpal for putting everything together.
So there will be one prompt for a week, which is quite doable. It should not be a strain or a task; so they have been kept well spaced out. We hope to run this through this entire year because the techniques numbers to around 52.There are so many techniques which I heard for the first time itself.Similar is the Technique today called ‘Blobbicure’. I am not very fond of the results but I am glad I tried something new. I removed the nail art within 2 hours. It was not that bad I know, but I couldn’t connect with it.
However, had it not been for this challenge I wouldn’t have forced myself to try it. I wanted to try it once for sure but I know left to myself I would have just kept postponing it for etrenity. The base of the nailart is Sally Hansen Wet Cement. For the blobs on my nails starting from thumb I have used NYX Pastel Yellow, Enchant Orange, Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, Models Own Flip Flop and Street Wear Pink.
This technique is basically laying a blob of polish on wet polish base. The blobs spread out on wet base and take a new shape pushing other blobs. I am not very good at describing it, but this is shortest explanation of what Blobbicure is.
What do you guys think? Both about Nail Art and the Challenge. If you wish to participate in the Challenge you can do so by following at Instagram @IndianLacquerLover and using hashtag #nailthattechnique. Let me know if you face any issue.
