Hi Colorful Ladies, I am in a very cheerful and colorful mood today. I am wearing a colorful neon rainbow nailart as I write this post. There is something about bright colors which make you happy and merry every time you look at them.
The weather is also so correct for a rainbow nails. With rains all across, rainbows are a high probability. The weather is like “Raining with a chance of Rainbow”, if you know what I mean :). And neons are so very “IN” these days that I figured it would be injustice to ignore this trend. Hence, I thought of not using usual colors but neons :). I think it was a good call. This nail art is for OMD Challenge Day 11 and the theme is “Rainbow”.
This nail art was easy and quick to do. It is a pleasure when something turns beautiful with minimal effort.
For this nail art, I painted my nails white first. I used a White Polish from ‘Envy’. I used a sponge to get gradient effect on my nails. If you see I used two bright colors each nail. The first color on each nail is the one used the previous nail. This is done intentionally to give a flow to the nail art.
The colors this way seem to be in continuation and there is no abrupt contrast. I hope I am making sense, I don’t know if I made my intentions clear yet :P.
The neons used are mostly locals. But the blue I used is Sally Hansen Pacific Blue. It is such a gorgeous blue, the color, the application and everything is mind blowing.
After finishing my gradient work, I used Sally Hansen Disco Balls to do the top coat. I think it further enhanced the beauty of my nailart.
The holographic glitters on my neon gradients make it look all the more shimmery and colorful, as I move my nails. It is much more visible in person 🙂
How did you find my nail art? Have you done any neon nails lately? Don’t miss doing them. You can Run, You can Walk but you can’t escape Neons 😛 😛
