Today I am sharing nail arts I did on two girls, most important in my life. My Mom and my sister. One is the hand I held throughout my life to grow into what I am today; while the other is the hand I have held and played throughout my childhood. Both these ladies are support system to my life and my best friends :).I can’t put in words ever what they mean to me, I can’t even attempt to explain.
I love working on their nails, because it gives me so much satisfaction to beautify my darlings nails.Last week I did nail art for both of them.I am all in for bright colors these days girls. Neons, orange, pink, green and what not, I just want to wear them all and flaunt them :). I had just purchased Color Show Glitter Mania and I was restless to use them. I used it on my sisters nails.
My sisters Bright Tribal Nails with Glitter Texture Twist
For my sisters nails, I used ColorBar Poppy Pink (I think this was the shade name), acrylic paints and of course Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania ‘All That Glitters’. It is a gorgeous semi texture classy gold polish. This is my first love in the collection.
I wanted to match her nails with the dress she was supposed to wear the next day. I was in mood for some quick stamping but my sister insisted on some free hand. So I came up with this.
I chose the colors and patterns as per her dress. And I am really happy how it turned out. Trust me , I was extremely unsure of what I was gonna do. It was late night and I had to finish the nail art timely and leave for home. I just knew the colors I wanted to use.
I took a fine brush and dipped them in acrylic paints and kept on doing some spontaneous designs my mind came up with it. I used neon colored studs from BornPrettystore and they are fabulous. You can buy it at 10% site wide using my coupon code HQBQ10. You can refer the banner at the right side of the blog panel. Most importantly, my sister was pleased with the nail art.
This is a perfect Indian nail art which will go with any matching or contrast color outfit. I think it will rock with western outfits also, giving it a contemporary look.
This is a picture heavy post, because no amount of photograph is doing justice to the actual look of the nail art :P. The texture, the hue, color, the work and everything was so difficult to capture in few clicks.
They kind of look rustic tribal because of the free hand design and the gold semi texture from Color Show Glitter Mania, takes this rustic look to another level 🙂 .
I used Neon Pink studs here to beautifythem. I got these Neon Studs from BornPrettyStore.com for review and they are amazing. You can buy them at here) .You can use my coupon code HQBQ10 to get 10% discount across the store :).
My Mom’s Tradition Green and Gold Nail Art
My mom has very short nails. Obviously she does a lot of cooking and caring, to care about her nails or cuticles. I often get angry at my mom for not paying enough attention to her nails and cuticles. But then I think, had she paid too much attention to them, I would not have been what I am today. She totally sacrificed her desires, so that I could fulfil mine :).
So yes, even though the nails are trimmed and cuticles are asking for help. But they are the most beautiful hands to me in the world.
My mom was happy with the nail art, and there is no greater satisfaction than that. I am what I am because of her.
I used Cheeky Princess Charming Plate and Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold for stamping. I stuck some rhinestones to brighten up the look. It came out well. And I was wondering how beautiful an Indian dress material or saree would look with a similar print.
Anyways, this is a very long post with lots of pictures. But I couldn’t help it. I am talking about my sister and mom you see :). Please share your thoughts on the nail art. Also, let me know if there is someone in your life doing nail art for whom gives you utmost satisfaction
