I admit I am having a little (well, more than little) crush on Neons these days. God! they are so in and omnipresent. I had been to mall yesterday and displays were so colorful and full of life and neons. I was mesmerized, literally. The summer is on , so people are just not scared to show there ultra colorful side :P.
And all the colorful gorgeous stuff that I saw yesterday, gave me an adrenaline rush to do some something similar on my nails. One thing I was sure was that I had to use Neon Studs from http://BornPrettyStore.com.
Anyways, I used Mayeblline ColorShow ‘Black Out’ for Black color on my nails. These are quite pigmented. I just used one coat and the results were opaque, which was surprising :). I used acrylic paints and fine brush to get the intricate tribal/aztec design. To get the neon studded nails, I used BornPrettyStore Neon Stud Wheels which they sent me for review last week. And I am so impressed by them. It gave a whole new life and neony edge to my mani :). I used nail glue to fix them on my nails. To get the matte contrast , I used mattifying Top Coat on all nails. The tribal nails were looking so washed out and the print looked lifeless, so I used Seche Vite only one tribal nails to gloss them. I think it was a wise decision.
The Neon Studs are awesome!!!! If you can have only one 3D accessory, this must be it!! I swear a nail accessory wheel had never made me this happy. I have loads of fimos and rhinestones and caviars and stuff, but this one rocked them all! I got them for review, but I am honestly saying, they are too good. Just right assortment and choice of colors to get funky look on nails. You can use my coupon code HQBQ10 to get 10% discount across the store :). I am really pleased with my nail art and it makes me so happy each time I look at them. It’s like a color splash. I have never worn something as loud to work, but this time it was irresistible. And yes, my nails got lot of attention (which I definitely wanted to avoid) and lots of compliment (which are definetly welcome 😛 ).
I was so tired yesterday after returning from the mall at 10 pm that I could have taken a pass had it been anything else. But since it was nail art, I got some divine energy to make me through 😛 :P. My maid was not there yesterday. My hubby cooked us a meal, so that I could do this nail art, although he was even more tired than me 🙁 . After sweating for hour in kitchen when he came inside to see what I was doing with my nails, he was very satisfied with my work (which is not very common, he is the much required critic of my nail art and will honestly suggest changes if he feels so).
Hence with the lovely meal and colorful nail art, I was on cloud 9 last night. And I don’t say this very often, but I wouldn’t have moved half of where I am, had my husband not supported me. He not only supports but is equally involved in each of my nail art. Whenever, I am confused on colors or ideas, he picks up colors and guides me 🙂 . He always encourages me do more, achieve more and take nail art more seriously, because it’s a blessed talent. He wants me to pursue it as a full-time owner of Nail Spa, but I am not sure if I will ever quit my job 😛 .Anyways, it’s truth, that behind every successful woman is a man!!
And how do you guys feel about my nail art? Equally happy? Anyone else has a larger than little crush on neons these days?? Please share your thoughts here 🙂
