My Summer Nail Art

Hi friends, I have a fun and colorful nail art to share with you today. Although the summer has waved us goodbye and we are practically drenched in monsoon, I just felt like getting summer on my nails 😛

Summer Nail Art

Now summers for me is all about beaches, bikini, cocktails and colors!!! Wow, I love the whole feeling of colors and life, except for the rise in temperature :(. So I tried bringing all the features I love on my nails and flaunt them around a bit:P

Summer Nail Art

I will run through tutorial and description finger wise:

THUMB : On my thumb I sponged yellow and orange nail paints to get the feel of an evening. And to complete the feeling I added a cocktail glass with different fruits for flavors. Also, how could I forget the fizz?? So I added cavairs to add that element. For the cocktail glass and straw I used acrylic paints and fine brush. And please don’t forget to notice the details of folds on my straw :). I used fruit fimo clay near straw.

INDEX FINGER : This is my favorite although it did not come up half as I wanted it. I have drawn bikini’s using pink acrylic paint:). I wanted it much more sexier but my drawing screwed it 🙁 :(.

MIDDLE FINGER: Ohh, this is my favorite because a bright sunny day makes me very happy (I mean sitting inside from air conditioned room, it seems pretty awesome). I painted my nails with yellow nail paint and used a fine brush to draw sun with black acrylic paint. This finger instantly lit up my mood.

RING FINGER : This one is very simple,I just used different colors of textured nail paints to get stripes and get to play some colors. Well, even the textured paints ditched me here and they also refused to co-operate with my imagination :(. I just did a free hand stripes for this.

PINKY : How could I not get some sand and water to my beach nail art?? I used some golden glitter chunks to depict sand, really in what better way could I picture the sparkly sand?? And did you notice the slipper near the beach? I have always pictured sands with slippers (flip/flop) :). And this one seemed so perfect to my imagination.

Summer Nail Art

Woah!! I was mentally at beach while writing all this. I trust me I did not want to come back :(. How about you guys? Did you feel the beachy breeze across your face with my nail art?
